
Born in 2013, Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ has grown from a takeout counter to a restaurant group that serves over 1 million people annually and employs hundreds. We're a Connecticut owned business committed to high-quality food, a respectful workplace, and creating a better community where we live and work. Today we operate six Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ locations in Connecticut and North Carolina.Based in Hartford, Connecticut, we smoke our BBQ meats in the Kansas City-style that Jamie “The Bear” McDonald enjoyed growing up in Kansas City, Missouri. Our sauces play a key role in creating the award winning taste we have become known for. We are excited to bring this flavor to our consumers near and far.
We work with real farmers and a network of independent suppliers who provide fresh groceries. This allows us to keep supply chains short, treat everyone fairly and reduce unnecessary waste.
