Minerva Dairy has been churning out excellence for more than a century—earning the title of America’s oldest family-owned creamery. It all began in 1894, when 21-year-old founder Max Radloff opened a small creamery in Wisconsin with one simple goal: make the best butter around. Max’s dedication to craftsmanship and quality quickly set his butter apart, leading him to expand and eventually settle the business in Minerva, Ohio, where the creamery still operates today.Over the years, the Radloff family refined their recipe into a rich, slow-churned butter that boasts 85% butterfat—a signature that makes every bite creamier, smoother, and more flavorful. Five generations later, siblings Adam Mueller and Venae Watts continue the legacy their great-great-grandfather began. They still rely on milk from local, pasture-raised cows and keep production small-batch, just as it’s always been.
