Yosi grew up in Petah Tikva, Israel, where he learned to cook alongside his mother and family, surrounded by the rich flavors of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. After moving to Connecticut in the 1980s, he longed for the authentic hummus, falafel, and shawarma of his childhood. In 2002, he left the software industry to follow his true passion—bringing fresh, all-natural Mediterranean food to the community. What started as a small Kosher catering business quickly grew into Yosi Kitchen, a Windsor, CT-based producer of handcrafted hummus, falafel, tzatziki, and more, using only real ingredients, no additives or preservatives. Today, Yosi Kitchen’s small-batch, flavor-packed products can be found at Modern Milkman, Whole Foods and local markets across Connecticut.
